Valencia to Madrid

A relatively quiet day today. After a later start we again saw the sights of Valencia from the chilly top of the hop on - hop off bus, this time the more historic part of town.

Monastery - endured five centuries of Muslim rule

We weren't that rapt with Valencia - think we were too spoiled by the amazing Barcelona!

We thought that yesterday's train trip was fast - today we nudged 300km/h on our way to Madrid! After checking into our hotel we were excited to find two landmarks close by. Santa Ana Plaza 50 metres away when we turn left out of the hotel and a lavendaria 50 metres to the right!

Plaza de Santa Ana

  1. Andrew, I believe there is a terrific post card shop in Frankston where they sell great pictures of European cities. Why go all the way to Europe when you could easily hang out in Frankston. Of course it is the favourite old aunt!

    1. They've got a great plaza in Frankston. It's called the "Frankston Plaza". Maybe that's where the postcard shop is?? I like reading this blog. Gets addictive. Three times a day checking in to see if they've put up a photo WITH BOND GIRLS IN IT!!!! We all voted for more photos of Jo and Collette. Disapointed again. It's a beautiful day here. Forecast high twenties. No hoppy bus in Casterton but I can drive around with my sunroof open. No plaza in Casterton but the raffle table will be doing a roaring trade outside Foodworks. Going to your neighbour's wedding today (Katy Stevens) in Dunkeld and then to a bush dance at the Henty Hall - don't have high class entertainment like that in Frankston heh? Don't forget to go to church tomorrow, and just in case you don't understand the readings, (they speak a different dialect in Frankston) it's doubting Thomas.
