A beautiful day for a ferry ride to Bellagio which is only part of the way along the lake but still took us two hours to get there. We were very excited to board the ferry with a school group! Two hours later we were even more excited to see them get off at the stop before us! They were so loud!!!
Around every curve in the shoreline was an amazing view...

Once we arrived in Bellagio a short walk found us at the Gardens of Villa Melzi. There are dozens of villas dotting the shoreline and this is one that you can visit. The Villa was built in the early 1800s for Francesco Melzi d'Eril who was basically the Vice President under Napoleon (he pops up everywhere!)
The gardens of the villa must be the best kept in Italy - we even saw a lawnmower - and a squirrel/chipmunk creature!
Lunch on a terrace overlooking the Lake, a stroll through a couple of alleyways and a leisurely ferry ride -minus the noisy school kids - filled our day in nicely!
